Startup providing early water leak detection for commercial buildings via smart tape joins global body promoting the adoption and evolution of LoRaWAN® communication protocol.
12 September 2023 - London, UK. Early water leak detection solution provider LAIIER today announced that it became an Adopter member of the LoRa Alliance®, an open, non-profit association of IoT companies with over 400 members.
LAIIER brings deep expertise in using the LoRaWAN® protocol to address water leak detection use cases in commercial buildings to the LoRa Alliance. The company’s Severn WLDTM is currently installed with commercial insurance carriers, facilities managers, industrial facilities and system integrators in the United States and United Kingdom.
“The LoRaWAN protocol is the backbone of LAIIER’s continuous monitoring service. LoRaWAN’s unique advantages open up a broad range of use cases for commercial water leak detection applications that we would otherwise struggle to access,” said LAIIER Co-founder and CEO Matt Johnson.
“We’re excited to continue offering a best-in-breed solution to the market, with the additional assurance of certification and membership in the LoRa Alliance.”
LAIIER is committed to continuing to support and contribute to the evolution and adoption of LoRaWAN via its membership. In addition to contributing to working groups and task forces, the company is also excited to expand its reach via ecosystem partners.
“The excellent reputation of the LoRa Alliance lends significant credibility to any member’s technology solution,” commented Johnson. “In collaboration with fellow members, we hope to contribute to the growth of the ecosystem as we introduce the benefits of LoRaWAN to entirely new customer types.”
“I am pleased to welcome LAIIER to the LoRa Alliance,” said Donna Moore, CEO and Chairwoman of the LoRa Alliance.
"LAIIER’s commitment to the evolution of LoRaWAN standard, certification of devices, and collaboration with ecosystem partners will be an asset to the alliance and further the global adoption of LoRaWAN across all industries.”
