We kicked 2024 off with the launch of the second generation of Severn WLD™, our flagship water leak detection solution. The second generation not only has a sleek new look, but boasts a range of enhancements from battery life, through to an IP65 rating and the provision of additional data points.
As a company committed to delivering best-in-class liquid leak detection, we’ve continued to invest in R&D both for the Severn WLD, and additional proprietary liquid leak sensing technologies. From lab experiments to field trials to full commercial deployments, we continue to develop and refine solutions that defend customers’ commercial and industrial buildings and equipment against damage and downtime caused by liquid leaks.
2024 has yielded significant commercial growth for LAIIER, as we’ve expanded our footprint both in North America and Europe. Our devices now provide leak detection for historically important buildings and cultural collections, luxury resort buildings, Class A offices, multifamily residential complexes, climate-sensitive laboratories, and highly demanding industrial settings.
Our devices have found liquid leaks in every one of our installations this year, demonstrating the ubiquity of the problem, and the demand for LAIIER’s solution.
Partnerships have supported our growth. We’ve spent time with existing partners including Xylem, RAKwireless, AXA XL, and RICS. And we’ve joined forces with new partners, including Comcast’s MachineQ, Conserv, Netmore, US Proptech Council, and Wattsense.
Perhaps our most important work this year was defining the breadth and depth of the leak detection challenge that our customers face. Through in-person interviews, extensive discussions with customers, and countless hours in the field, we’ve gained unique insights into the market, which are reflected in our high quality market insight documents.
The market’s understanding of the economic and ecological impact of liquid leaks has historically been poor. To ensure we remain competitive and continue to provide best-in-class liquid leak detection, we’ve invested in data and insights.
Both our customers and the market have benefited from the data and insights from our facilities management survey, which offered a deeper understanding of water leak size, frequency, and cost in commercial buildings. Our guidelines for calculating payback, ROI, and the cost of false positives brought water leak detection solutions in line with standard business metrics. And in an Olympic year, we couldn’t pass up the chance to calculate small water leaks in terms of Olympic swimming pools!
In 2024, we've:
Detected more than 2 genuine liquid leaks every day. 💧
Spent over 2,000 hours helping customers to better understand their liquid leak detection requirements. 💡
Baked and enjoyed 13 delicious custom birthday cakes. 🎂
Welcomed 3 babies to the team! 👶
2025 promises to deliver even more for LAIIER, our customers, and our partners. We’re excited to get started!
