LAIIER Announces Partnership With Cox Engineering for Smart Water Leak Detection

Written by LAIIER | Feb 20, 2025 9:25:37 AM

Innovative liquid leak detection solution provider LAIIER today announced that it has partnered with Cox Engineering to drive mutual expansion in Boston and the East Coast.

The collaboration means that LAIIER’s best-in-breed, wireless early water leak detection solution will be available as part of Cox Engineering’s growing portfolio of energy and sustainability related offerings, alongside building energy management systems, IoT monitoring, and turnkey HVAC retrofit solutions.

LAIIER’s Severn WLD™ water leak detection solution is an end-to-end solution comprising a fully wireless, battery-powered sensor with a unique tape form factor; LoRaWAN® connectivity; and a cloud-based dashboard to manage reporting and alerts.

Already deployed in a range of commercial and industrial buildings in both North America and Europe, the Severn WLD has demonstrated its efficacy in detecting water leaks in their early stages, while simultaneously limiting false positives that would otherwise create an unnecessary and expensive burden for facilities managers to respond to.

“Through LAIIER’s solution, Cox can provide clients the trifecta: easy installation, precision, and real-time reporting. This offering is a natural fit for Cox Energy and Sustainability - it minimizes the use of embodied carbon (completely wireless), requires zero maintenance (frees up on-site personnel), and provides precise data without false positives (eliminates truck rolls),” said Akash Vijay, Vice President of Energy & Sustainability at Cox Engineering.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Cox Engineering,” commented Matt Johnson, LAIIER’s CEO & Co-founder. “Their expertise and reputation for delivering value for customers has been over a century in the making, and we’re excited to have them add our technology to their portfolio of offerings.”
