LAIIER and Conserv Deepen Collaboration to Protect Cultural Heritage from Water Damage

Innovative liquid leak detection solution provider LAIIER today announced that its cutting-edge early water leak detection technology is now available to customers through Conserv, a leader in environmental monitoring for cultural heritage institutions.

This availability marks the next phase in LAIIER and Conserv’s strategic partnership, enhancing protection for the world’s most valuable artifacts and archives from the often unseen and devastating impacts of water damage.

Conserv customers can now purchase LAIIER’s Severn WLD sensors directly, gaining access to precise, continuous monitoring for early-stage water leaks. Seamlessly integrated with Conserv’s wireless monitoring platform, the sensors offer non-invasive, easy-to-deploy protection, specifically designed for delicate environments like museums, archives, libraries, and historic sites.

“We’re thrilled to expand our partnership with Conserv and make our Severn WLD sensors more accessible to institutions where water damage can be catastrophic,” said Matt Johnson, CEO and Co-founder of LAIIER.

“This collaboration is about empowering the cultural sector with tools to detect leaks early, intervene quickly, and ultimately preserve priceless collections.”

Since announcing their partnership in late 2024, LAIIER and Conserv have worked together to integrate LAIIER’s printed sensor technology into Conserv’s platform. The sensors, which are thin, flexible, and can be installed in hard-to-reach areas, provide highly localized, real-time data to Conserv’s dashboard, ensuring rapid response in the event of a leak.

“This is a major step forward for environmental monitoring in cultural heritage spaces,” said Dave Masom, CEO of Conserv.

“The addition of LAIIER’s water leak detection technology directly into our offering provides our customers with a powerful new layer of protection, and peace of mind.”

With climate change increasing the frequency and severity of water-related incidents, proactive water leak detection has never been more critical. This new availability through Conserv supports LAIIER’s mission to bring scalable, intelligent sensing to the built environment, especially in places where prevention isn’t just about avoiding damage, but preserving history.
